This is my second purchase. I first got the Sampaguita lip oil (the clear one) at a market I was vending at with the owner, Lanette. Since trying it out I realized it kept my lips more hydrated than my go to aquaphor chapstick and I’ve been using this lip oil as my chapstick ever since!
It isn’t a lipgloss so it isn’t sticky and drying like most lipglosses.
The clear lip oil does have a bit of shimmer in it but it’s not an overwhelming amount. I also only put on a very thin layer.
The wand tip is thick so sometimes it’s a tiny bit hard to get out of the tube and a little bit flies off but it’s not that big of a deal.
I tried the colored lip oils and I personally didn’t think any of them suited me well as someone with fair skin but I also don’t generally like oils/lip glosses and tend to prefer lipsticks in the first place.
I use this lip oil as my everyday chapstick and my base for when I put on lipstick to keep my lips hydrated.
While I was talking to Lanette in person she gave off the impression that she was knowledgeable and careful about formulating cosmetics that are effective and safe! She mentioned show some all natural products don’t hold up or work as well and that lab created ingredients (I don’t know if this is the correct term) doesn’t necessarily mean they’re unsafe. Which I have also heard from other skincare experts online.
I highly recommend getting these lip oils and supporting this brand and Lanette! She’s also a super nice and cool person and goes above and beyond:)
I’ve tried three of these and they are all so beautiful in color and shine! I love that they are not sticky and you get so much in each tube!
There are so many products out there but this is made with natural stuff and amazing! Love the way it makes my lips feel!!
